Services Offered
If you have found yourself on this website, odds are you are feeling that a change is needed. Maybe you recognize that something needs to change within yourself. Perhaps you’re unhappy in your relationship or your household feels unnecessarily tense. It could be that you’ve tried therapy before and/or medications and have felt that “nothing works.”

Let me tell you a secret. It is very rare in life that things will get better by doing nothing. Yup; I said it. I can’t guarantee that counseling is the solution for every problem that life holds. But the fact that you’re reading this says that you’re open to the idea of trying something with the intent to make things better. So that means you’re already off to a good start- you have some motivation!

Appointments can be scheduled for a variety of counseling services and issues. Each person, couple, and family are different so their treatment may look different as well. Once you call or email to express your interest in counseling, I can discuss your needs with you and determine what would be the most appropriate. There are some circumstances where I may have to recommend that you work with other clinicians instead. Such as (but not limited to), if you are requesting a specific therapy modality or service I do not provide, your child is too young, you have insurance I am unable to bill, or your availability to schedule does not align within my business hours.

During this initial contact, I will obtain information so I can do my best to explain your insurance benefits and possible out of pocket responsibility. You will be given a chance to ask questions you may have about services, fees, etc. When we both agree that it is an appropriate fit and I am accepting new clients, you will be emailed intake paperwork to be completed prior to the first appointment. Other options are available if you do not have access to a printer.

I work with children (at least eight years old), teens, individuals, couples, and families of every type. I primarily work with those voluntarily seeking services but also those who may be court-ordered into services.  Therapy modalities I utilize the most are Client-Centered, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Gottman Method, Strategic Family Therapy, Bowen’s Family Systems, Psychoeducation, Prolonged Exposure Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing.
